Bringing Career Opportunities to Incarcerated Job Seekers

At Workbay, we believe in unlocking the potential of every job seeker—including those preparing to reenter the workforce after incarceration. That’s why we’re proud to partner with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) to provide career education and job connections to incarcerated individuals through the Workbay platform.

A recent KVUE News story highlighted this important initiative, showcasing how Workbay is helping people develop job skills, build resumes, and connect with employers—all from their tablets while still in prison. The goal? To ensure they have the tools and opportunities needed to successfully transition back into their communities and reduce recidivism.

Through Workbay, incarcerated individuals can access:

  • Educational videos that teach essential workplace skills

  • Resume-building tools to help them present their experience and strengths

  • Interview preparation resources to boost confidence and readiness

  • Direct connections with employers and recruiters actively seeking talent

This partnership represents a significant step forward in reentry support, empowering people with the knowledge and resources to secure meaningful employment upon release. By investing in skills development and career connections, we’re helping to create pathways to success that extend beyond prison walls.

We’re excited to see the impact of this initiative and look forward to continuing our work with TDCJ to expand opportunities for individuals preparing for a fresh start.
